    Clear all MRU-Lists

    Hi Scooter-Team!

I would like to see a new feature which I couldn't find yet in the UI:
In the "Options..." dialog a section or button to clear all Most-recently-used-lists.

    Is that possible?

    Bye

    Tweaks

You can launch the Tweaks (default ctrl-shift+T) and currently change the size of the list to 1.

Is there a specific reason/workflow that requires the mru's to be cleared? Is it a privacy concern?

Would you want to be able to clear it, or set it to 0?

      Hi Aaron!

Well, it's rather a clean-up / privacy issue. I don't intend to set it to zero, the MRU-lists are quite usefull, but sometimes they get a bit overcrowded.

      It's only a nice-to-have feature.

        Clearing MRU-Lists

I don't know if it is possible...but I have often thought it would be nice to be able to trim an MRU list on the fly...i.e. drop an MRU list, highlight an entry, then press the delete key to remove that entry from the list.

          State File

We have been discussing this for awhile. We probably won't be able to get a feature like this into version 3.0 before launch. You can, however, edit your State.xml file and manually clear your MRU lists. Just be sure you know what you are deleting, and backup your State.xml file first.

It will be located in either your install directory, or in AppData.

If there are questions about this, feel free to ask them here.

Another privacy consideration for MRU lists is when submitting config files for support incidents. Please weed them out, at least optionally, just as passwords are currently omitted.

Thanks for the suggestion, Tom. I've added this to our tracker.

I would like to support this request. It is a privacy concern, just like it is nice to be able to clear the MRU in other programs such as word processing or spread sheet programs (in the current MS programs you do it by specifying how many "Recent documents" you want to display (in the "Advanced settings" dialog).
