Handling summary of column comparison

To edit a different comparison sheet, pick it from the Sheet dropdown list.

To control the alignment of columns

Pick Unaligned to use the file order on both sides.

Pick Align by left name to use the file order on the left side and reorder the right side to match names.

Pick Align by right name to use the file order on the right side and reorder the left side to match names.

Pick Custom alignment to manually align columns.  Click the Move Up or Move Down buttons to change the comparison order of the selected columns.  Click the Tidy button to remove any blank lines from the list.

To control the alignment of rows

Define as many columns as keys as necessary to uniquely identify each row.  To define a column as a key, position on the appropriate line, click the Edit button and mark the Key checkbox.  If multiple keys are defined, precedence follows the order in the comparison.  If no keys are defined, the alignment will use the settings on the Rows tab.

To control how column data is compared

Double-click the appropriate line to open the Column Handling dialog.  To change the Default Column Handling settings, click the Edit Default button.
