Maybe you can implement this?

It's a boring job to allign lines manually. What I'am thinking of is a function, which tries to match one line to another by searching the next matching line. Not automatically (what is already quite good), but on command.

Example:
I have to functions (lines) to allign side by side. The automatic matching does not work fine, because they are not close enough. So bc should just find the matching line by searching the other side.

Should be easy to implement, but would help a lot...
