Hi,
I have recently encountered the following problem: When the software shows me that two files are out of synch, the newer one shows up in red. This is normal . However, suppose the newer file is on the right side; once I copy the new one over the old one (i.e. from right to left), I either get the right or the left one to be red (when neither should be red). The file content (binary comparison) is the same, however the timestamps are different. Now, if I force a comparison on the files, the red text disappears. Any suggestions why this is happening? On a final note, I did not see this behaviour during my 45 day trial period (I'm registered now). |

What are you copying to (local disk, network disk, cd-rw, ftp)? This is usually because BC wasn't able to update the destination's timestamp for some reason. Content comparisons (visual or using "Compare Contents") will override timestamp comparisons and flag the files as matching.
