Default Folder scanning

Hi,

It's related to BC3 folder scanning.
I have the options "Automatically scan folders in background" & "Expand subfolders when loading session" unchecked but "Compare Contents" (Rule-based comparison) is on.

Now, whenever I open two folders in folder view it starts scanning for files comparison (Expected). But -
1. In the middle if I set some subfolder as a base folder BC still keeps scanning my root folder. I always have to manually stop it from scanning the parent folder.
2. If I define some file filter, in some cases I observed it still was scanning the folder for all files.
3. If I expand a subfolder (not setting it as base folder, just opening) then BC starts scanning this folder but it keeps scanning even after I collapse it.

Hey Chris/Aaron any comments?

Hello NeOnD,

1. This shouldn't happen. Setting a new base folder should treat it if you were opening this new pair of folders for the first time. How are you setting the base folder?

2. So you have already started the scan, and then activate the File Filter? Does this happen all of the time or only some of the time following the same steps?

3. This is expected behavior. Once expanded we will start the scan. Collapsing the folder will just hide it from view and not cancel the scan.
