Default Auto-Select Section

BC2 had an option setting for "Next Difference" that allowed you to "Advance by Section" and optionally "Select by Section".

How do you enable this behavior with BC3?

Hello,

Sections in BC3 refer to difference sections, a configurable number of lines/differences that are next to each other. The line under the arrow on the left shows what is currently considered a section.

If you launch a Text Compare, then go to Tools -> Customize Commands and search for Next Diff, you will find:
Next Difference
Next Difference Section
Next Difference Files.

Each can be configured to a particular hotkey and some may be placed in the toolbar. Select Section is also available as well.

Are these the commands that you are looking for?

Thanks!

How does one enable automatic selection of difference sections when advancing by section (as opposed to advancing to the next section, then having to explicitly select it)?

Actually, automatically selecting the section might be unnecessary. I just noticed that there are, in addition to the "copy" commands, "copy line" commands. The "copy" commands copy entire difference sections even though they aren't selected.
