I'm trying to set up Beyond Compare 3 as my visual compare tool within QVCS.
The command line C:\Progra~1\Beyond~1\BComp.exe "%s" "%s" from the knowledgebase article isn't working. I've tried other params like %1 %2, %s %s (same as above but without parenthesis), etc but nothing seems to work. BC3 always shows me Error Opening File for both the left and right files. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Brian |

Perhaps you should ask Qumasoft... The command comes from their own online QVCS Documentation.

Hello,
What error is BC3 showing? What value is "%s "%s" passing in on the command line?

Using the command line C:\Progra~1\Beyond~1\BComp.exe "%s" "%s", BC3 opens and shows "C:\Program Files\QVCS-Enterprise Client\%s" for both the left and right filenames. It also shows "Error Opening File" for both the left and right files.
It appears the input parameters are incorrect. The program opens but the filenames shouldn't be pointed to my local QVCS client directory. QVCS is running on a separate server. |

Brian,
Thanks for the followup. I've updated our VCS KB article.
