When to place the 'filter' command.

When is a good location for the "filter" command:

1) After the load and expand all, to then filter those results

or

2) Beforehand, to prevent the loading and expanding of things that will be filtered

Its not clear to me from the help file when the filter gets applied (does the load and expand command take advantage of the defined filter?)

The filter command is in effect as until you use a different filter command or load a session by name, which pulls in its own filters. So yes, the "expand all" command will respect any filters you have.
