Read-cache for same files in different locations?

I would like an update regarding this topic.

Do you think this is still true with Windows 8 (any version: pro or other, 32 bit or 64 bit)?

I have not read any reports indicating a change in this behavior in Windows 8. This would be a better question for Microsoft, as they would better know the detailed changes between Windows 7 and Windows 8. BC3.3.5 is tested and supported on Windows 8, and we are still using the same built-in Windows function.

If you do run into any issues, please let us know. We can then attempt to follow your steps and try to reproduce any behavior you are seeing to determine why it is happening.
