How to start all copy/moves with LOW priority (or even pause when other activities)?

Is there a way to let BC automatically perform all copy & moves with LOW priority?
I mean not by manually changing the priority in TaskManager but as an option inside BC?

I do occasionally large move & copy operations between local hard drives and external USB hard drives resp. network shares which take up to 30 minutes.

During this time my Win 7 system is almost unusable due to heavy hard disc load.

For that it would be fine to have at least a low priority option.

It would be even better if BC could detect user activity (mouse moves or CPU load above 5%)
and pause automatically completely such move & copy operations.

    Is this possible?

Would this be possible in BC 4 ?

BTW: calculating diffs in folders can be performed with normal priority. This lasts not longer than acceptable 30 sec.

    Hello Peter,

We do not have this option currently, but it is something on our Customer Wishlist. I'll add your notes.

BC3 uses the same general copy method as Windows Explorer, so we'd use about as many resources as a standard windows copy. As you note, you can set BC3 to Low Priority in the Task Manager as a workaround.
