Default Auto Export Settings ?

Is there anyway to automate the creation of "bcpkg" creation for saving your setttings.

I would like to script/automate the complete and full backup of all BC settings, sessions, ftp profiles (inc. passwords) and file formats so that the windows task scheduler creates a saved settings files once a day.

I have then a backup program running everday and it will backup this file, this means when I have a system crash I can very easily get BC back up and running after restore.

Thanks,
Esmond

Hello,

We don't have an automated Export method, but you could manually (or automatically with a script) backup your BC Settings folder. This is stored in your Windows User account's %AppData%\Scooter Software\Beyond Compare 3\ folder by default and contains a collection of BCSetting.xml files. You can use the Help menu -> Support, and click the blue link to Explore settings folder to navigate straight to it.

Yes, restoring the folder will restore all Beyond Compare 3 settings.
