Hello,
I would like to rename a series of 458 files. Currently, they are are as follows: 001.pdf 004.pdf 006.pdf etc. I would like to rename them so the numbers flow sequentially and without gaps 001.pdf 002.pdf 003.pdf Is this possible? Any tips, suggestions would be appreicated |

Hello,
Beyond Compare 3 has a fairly powerful Rename function, but it does not detect the order or count of the list of files. You could rename them manually, but this is probably not what you are looking for. You may need a dedicated Rename program or utility. Please note that BC3 aligns files by file name, which would cause problems if you wanted to compare the renamed files to an original set.

Thanks.
Any suggestions for dedicated Rename programs/utilities? |

Sorry, we don't have much experience with dedicated rename utilities.
