VMWare Fusion for OSX 10.7 - Thread exit errors with multiple cores

As a general announcement (and reference for anyone searching the forum), we recently had a customer experiencing thread exit errors with Beyond Compare 3 while using VMWare Fusion on Mac OSX 10.7 with multiple cores. Setting the cores for the vm to '1' has helped fix their issue.
