Have installed Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot"

Of course, one of the first things I reinstall is Beyond Compare :)

Alas, the nice new shell extension doesn't seem to work in nautilus 3.2.0 :(

Thanks. We've had a couple reports of this. We'll need to investigate this to try and track down what may have changed in Ubuntu's support.

Same here. Thanks for looking into it. I cannot be without my BC.

I have a similar problem in Fedora 16. If I enable explorer integration it crashes DBUS and I don't get a context menu. Fedora 14 is EOL so I am forced to migrate. 64-bit. ...any news would be appreciated.

Hello,

This is one of our current projects, and we hope to have the improved support in the next version of BC 3 (3.3.4).

Sounds great ! Thanks a lot.

I was so desperate that I even created a manual link in /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-3.0. That brought back the context menu entries, but crashed nautilus as soon as a compare was started. Looks like we really need to wait for a new library linked against Gnome 3/Nautilus 3 from you ....

The new libraries are checked in and available for the next release.

OK Solved this ... BC3 is now fine, but python-nautilus does not work in SUSE12.1
I've also worked out where the bits I needed to check are located ...
-------------------
I've finally got around to firing up SUSE12.1 and after the usual hassle of getting the graphics working via my KVM switch mechanism I'm live with it and have most stuff ported over, but I'm hitting a brick wall with the context menus not being added to in Nautilus3. Got the latest version and everything is up to date. Interestingly the TortoiseHg menu items are not appearing either :(

Can these be added manually? I've not found half of the setting stuff that I used to quite happily play with on 11.3 :(

Hello,

I just added the final touches on a couple of KB articles that may help out. The introduction is located here:
http://www.scootersoftware.com/support.php?zz=kb_linuxcontextmenu

There is a link to manual installation instructions as well.

Is this a default openSUSE12.1 installation? I can setup a test VM to see if I can reproduce any issues/potential fixes in office.
