View Full Version : Context Menu
Hello!
Could I use the 'normal' windows context menu inside
beyond compare?
For example I want to use the 'send to' feature. This
is only an example. I want to use another feature which
is included in my windows context menu.
Thank you for your help.

BC does not currently support the Windows Context Menu inside the application. You may be able to setup a solution using the Open With command available from the Context Menu in BC. You can setup a new association from Tools->Options and the Open With settings.
I will add the Windows Context Menu to our feature request list.
Thanks for contacting us.

Hi!
Sorry, but my problem is not resolved with your idea.
I want to use some features from windows explorer like the 'delete' or 'copy', 'cut'.
These are only examples. In the context menu of my winexplorer there is another tool which registered some features in the winexplorer context menu.

Adding the Windows context menu is on our list of features for a future version of BC, but with the current version, the only option is using the Open With command.
What is the specific tool or features that you need to launch from the context menu in BC?

Although it isn't elegant, another possibility may be to call a script or batch file using the Open With command that will launch the program if it doesn't work well to launch directly from the Open With command.
