Won't print multiple copies of a diff report

Using BC 2.1.2 I can't print multiple copies of a File Differences Report (side-by-side, just differences, 11 pages, landscape). Requesting a single copy is OK, and I get a brief messagebox saying "Sending report to printer..." with a Cancel button. But asking for 2 or more copies gives me an OK messagebox with a red "X" and the message "Printing in progress."
