Hello to Scooter Team and to all others,

i have to support some new Linux Servers. Unfortunately there is no possibility to use ftp for security reasons.

Have you got plans to support scp in the same way in Beyond Compare as you already support ftp very good (i use it often to other servers)?

Greetings,
Dietmar (from Germany)

Hi Dietmar,

We have plans to support it, but don't do so natively right now. There is a way to access them through an SFTP proxy though; that's covered in our knowledge base here: http://www.scootersoftware.com/support.php?c=kb_ssh

Hi Craig,

Would you be able to say if the inclusion of sftp support will be in a major version release, or in a minor support release?

Cheers,
Keith.

Any update on when the addition to SCP/SSH/SFTP support to BC might happen?

Enquiring minds want to know! :)

Cheers, Julian

Sorry, we still don't have a time frame for availability. Using MindTerm is still your best bet for BC and SFTP right now.
