View Full Version : Can I ignore orphan rows

I am comparing two excel files. There are many orphan rows in each file, but I am currently only interested in matched rows with data differences in certain columns.

I don't see any setting to ignore orphan rows. Am I looking in the wrong place, or does this feature not exist? If not, it would certainly be nice to have.

Regards,
Ed

Hello,

In the Data Compare, go to the Tools menu -> Customize commands, and at the bottom select Display filter presets: Toggles.

This will change your toolbar to show 4 toggle buttons instead of the default 3 buttons. You can toggle off Orphans on either side, and show only rows that are matched and contain a difference, or are equal.

How does this work for you?

Thanks! I actually found that option shortly after posting. This really helps. I keep liking BeyondCompare more and more.

Cheers,
