Thank you for the fast and useful compare program.

I would like to request a feature be considered: redrawing the screen as you resize the vertical split on the file comparison window.

Sometimes I just want to see a little more on screen at once; BC already displays the full line at the bottom, allows for resizing of the window split, and allows for locked horizontal scrolling. To make this even sweeter it'd be way cool if the window would repaint as I resized the split.

This is beneficial because when I do resize the split it is usually for looking at the diffs for a small cluster of lines; I don't actually want to leave the split. I don't want to have to let go of my mouse button, then re-acquire the split bar, and drag it back to the center. I am TEH LAZY!

It would speed up my work when comparing files more than 70 or so characters wide.

A similar idea would be to allow for deeper middle/scroll button usage, so that like Internet Explorer, if you click with the wheel, the 4-way navigational icon appears, and then the further you move your mouse away from that nav point, the faster the program scrolls the window in that direction.

Thanks again for the really good program.

Hmm, I discovered splitting the window along the horizon instead of the default vertical, that does help.

I think there still would be some benefit to an optional "repaint split drag" kind of feature because with this horizontal view, it's a little more difficult to know which line on top refers to which line on the bottom.

But having this different view it does help me out a lot!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to the wishlist. On thing you can try is Alt+Left/Right. It moves the slider each direction, and the effect is immediately visible.
