Independent timestamp, content comparison results

Can anybody explain the functionality of the checkbox "Independent timestamp, content comparison results" in the Advanced tab of Comparison Control?! I scanned the help but did not find anything. Sounds a bit like a preset to compare content instead of the timestamp of the files, but this functionality is actually on the General tab of the same dialog.

BTW: BC is on my list of things to take to a desert island! ;)

Hi Jörg,

If this option is enabled, BC treats files as different if timestamps OR contents differ. If disabled, a content comparison that finds identical contents overrides the timestamp comparison and treats the files as matching.
