View Full Version : How to automatically checkout a file during Synch
I would like to execute an external command to checkout a file from ClearCase when a file is being copied from a source directory to the destination directory which is under version control. Is there any way to register a batch file (or VBS) to be called before and after each changed file is copied by BC? If not, does anyone have a script to generate a list of the files that changed between two directories that can be used by a VBS to perform the actual synch?
Thanks

We don't support it right now, but it is on the wishlist and we're going to consider it for a later 2.x release.
As for generating a list of files, there are two options: use the Copy filenames command that we added to the pop-up and Actions menus in 2.1, or use the Summary folder comparison report.
Thanks for a GREAT TOOL!!!!!!
Just like to add my support for this feature - would be great to be able to call custom "copy" command so I can get clearcase etc to checkout a file or directory
