I want a BC command line to open a folder compare on two folders, but using previously saved session settings.
I though perhaps specifying session name and folder names as parameters, but it seems that's disallowed.
So... how, please?
BTW, the "Command Line Parameters" Help could be improved to indicate that only one of what it calls a parameter is allowed per command line.

It isn't possible to apply saved session settings to a new pair of folders using command line switches.
If you do the comparison frequently, you might consider changing the defaults for Folder Compare sessions. Otherwise you'll need to open BC, do a "Save As" of the session and enter the new folder paths.

OK, thanks.

These settings include filters that as defaults could easily cause error.

That would appear to defeat the command line.
.
Could you add to the wishlist the ability to use these two CL parameters together? Thanks.

Hello Chris,
How are you using the BC3 command line? Is it a call from another application or script?
If you saved a BC3 session, with the filters saved, and marked it read-only, you can then open it and drag the folders into the panes to quickly open them and apply session settings to that comparison. Would this workflow meet your needs?

Executing it :)

Yes.

No. The drag's a drag. Another app cannot do it.
