When in name Filters I set "Include folders:" to null, BC ignores this, and restores the "*".
Workaround: with "Include folders: *", set "Exclude folders: *" (which looks nonsensically contradictory to me.)

Hello Chris,
BC does not allow null entry in the Include sections of the dialog. If you want to exclude all folders from the comparison, then you need to state it positively as Exclude * folders, rather than trying to Include (no value) folders.
This should translate to the Filter String: -*\
Enhancing and improving this dialog is on our Wishlist.

Yup, that fits with my report.

Yup, that's the nonsensical workaround I reported.
Could you pass on my request that the problem be fixed? Thanks.

The current behavior is intentional. It allows you to use the Filters edit in the main form and enter "*.txt" instead of "*.txt;*\". I'm sorry you're finding it confusing, but I don't see it changing.

I hope you'll review it. Having to include all folders in order to exclude all folders is nonsensical and fails to accord with Help.
