report layouts

Not sure if this really pertains to scripting, but I am using a script to create a report of the difference between 2 files. I am wondering if there was a way to generate a report where it has a layout of Interleaved when using a data compare (this layout is available when using a text compare, but not when using a data compare report)

Has anyone else wanted this and have they solved it? Also could a developer comment if this is something that may be considered in a future update of BC?

Hello Johnl,

This is currently not supported in the current version of Beyond Compare 3, but it is on our Customer Wishlist to support additional report types for the data-report.

If you need an interleaved report, you may be able to use the text-report command. Try opening your files in the Text Compare, and then generating your report.

**Once installed, the topmost Excel (Data Compare or Text Compare) in the Tools menu -> File Formats dialog is the one used automatically. Move whichever you want to use to be the topmost rule.
