Why checkin on add/remove from SC but not update?

I love the Source Control integration, but find it annoying that Adds/Removes from source control try to checkin the changes (at least for TFS) right away. I'd rather just have it do the add or remove without trying to checkin the changes to TFS since I have a bunch of other changes to go in with the add/delete.

As a workaround, I just cancel the dialog that pops up for the checkin . It leaves the pending add/delete that I can checkin later.

Hi Jim,

Sorry, this is a limitation of the API that we're using. It won't help you, but I think it's up to the version control system; I don't think the Subversion providers do both at the same time.
