On a large number of folders

1) click Expand
2) when all displayed folders are expanded, click Select All Files
3) Inspect the selection

Expected: all files selected
Observed: selection omits those that the out-of-sight Expand had not reached at the time of 2).

Wait for the blinking red (X) in the toolbar to stop flashing before selecting all files.

Your "observed" funtionality is my "expected" functionality. The blinking (X) is an indicator that your last operation (Expand) is still running and has not yet completed...

The Scooter team could add a tweak that "queues" certain commands to occur after the current operation completes...but that would have its own set of quirks. The delay after the user clicks on the Select All Files option would be confusing.

I wonder how many files you expected to be omitted :)

More confusing than having a variable number of files omitted??

I would expect all the files that were not visible at the time I issued the command to be omitted.

If I am not mistaken, there is also an hourglass on the mouse icon letting you know that BC is still working on your Expand request.

In my opinion, yes. Perhaps a better tweak would be to disable the Select All options while expanding. That would eliminate the most confusion if you don't like the current functionality.

You'd be disappointed when there were expanded files outside the current scroll view.

And if you do! :)
