ftp to AIX

I hope I am in the right forum to rais e this,

Beyond Compare 2 was able to connect to AIX 5.3 via ftp(21), but I seem to have problems connection with Beyond Compare 3.

I get :

07/05/2008 15:38:35 Unable to load ftp://root@<server>: Error parsing directory listing

Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. We're parsing FTP directory listings differently now, and it looks like AIX support was inadvertantly broken. If you can, connect to it using the Windows command line FTP client (ftp.exe) and use the "dir" command to get a directory listing. Copy the dir output to a text file and send it to support and it should be pretty easy for me to fix it.

I use Beyond Compare 2 & 3 at my work which connects to an AIX 5.3 box, and so far it works fine. But then again I don't have root access. ;)

I know I know :) root is bad! Anyhow I tried another ID and I still have the same problem.

I'll send the directory listing to support as suggested. But thanks for your reply.

This was fixed in Monday's release.
