Select multiple files using keyboard?

Just noticed that it's not possible to select multiple files in folder compare using the standard Windows keyboard shortcut: namely, hold Ctrl while pressing up/down (to move around while preserving selection), press Space to toggle selection on the focussed file. Explorer supports this.

Any chance of this being added? Having to use the mouse wastes a lot of time for certain tasks.
