Hello,

I am using super Ubuntu 2008.11 i386 and after installing BC3 V. 3.0.15.9758, actually in the installer also most of the text and all of the menu text is gone. In the menu there are what appear to be a number of spaces and then one or more under scores. Im not sure if this is an issue with one of the libraries in Super Ubuntu or BC3 but I figured you would have more insight as this is only happening with BC3. On second glance the text is there for a fraction of a sec when the menu is drawn and then turns into nothing... screenshots attached.

Thanks for any help,

Patrick

If you have an Nvidia graphics card, this might be a bug in the video driver. See here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kubuntu-meta/+bug/302711

If you don't have an Nvidia card, it might help to turn off Compiz or other desktop effects.

I do have an NVIDIA card in this system. I guess that is it since OOo 3.0 which I never tried on this system is doing the same thing (this is my development system)

Thanks for the quick reply, and sorry for not responding sooner.
