Is there a way to see hidden files and folders (i.e. ones with a name beginning with a period) in the file/folder browser of the BC3 Linux version? In Gnome this is usually done with Ctrl-H, but I do not know if there is a standard convention for QT (or KDE) apps.

Sorry, it isn't possible to display hidden files on Linux in the browse dialog. The dot files will show in the main folder listing if you load their parent folder in the Folder Compare.

On my dev system (SuSE 10), F8 toggles hidden item visiblity in the file dialogs ("Open" and "Save As"). It isn't currently supported in folder browse dialog that includes the "Local" and "FTP" tabs. The plain "Browse for folder" dialog, without those tabs, doesn't support F8 but does have a "Show Hidden Items" option in its right click menu.
