Convert File / Convert Selection

When a user has an active selection on the screen, please provide a "Convert Selection" option under the Edit dropdown menu to allow a user to perform the "Convert File" activity against the selected portion of the file instead of against the entire file.

Converting only a selection is pretty obscure and would be confusing. I checked and your favorite editor, UltraEdit, doesn't do this either. Why do you need such a feature? If you only want to act on a few lines, just edit them. Or a search and replace might work for you.

My favorite editor (UltraEdit) has "Tabs to Spaces" which acts against a selection.
If there is no selection, it acts against the whole file.

Furthermore, I find that I need to perform such activity more often in a file comparison session than when editing a single file.
