Hi,

I've defined a session named "CSV_Maersk_FTP" where the left side is a local folder and the right side is a FTP location.

I need to start this "CSV_Maersk_FTP" session from command line. So, I open a command line window and type:

C:\Archivos de programa\Beyond Compare 2>BC2 "CSV_Maersk_FTP"

THE PROBLEM: in Windows XP BC2 opens the session correctly with both sides as expected. BUT in Windows 2000 the session doesn't open. Instead BC2 opens with the left side path as if it was given by the command line parameter, beign the right side path just blank.

I attach screen captures of the results in Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Curiously, if in Windows 2000 I open BC2 directly (not command line) and select the "CSV_Maersk_FTP" session, the FTP remote location opens well and the synchronization process is done properly. The problem only comes when I try to open the "CSV_Maersk_FTP" session from command line, and only in Windows 2000.

Searching for the solution, I defined another session with both sides being local folders, not FTP involved, in this case it works well from command line in Windows 2000. It seems like the problem is a combination of Windows 2000, command line session startup and FTP location on one side of the comparison.

I have computers with Windows 2000 and with Windows XP, I need to make this work in both O.S.

Finally I solved the problem by myself. It has to be some kind of bug on BC2. I had to change the session name from "CSV_Maersk_FTP" to "CSV_MAERSK_FTP". Now it works on W2000 and WXP. Strange issue.
