On Vista, option to run at end of install fails

I just installed build 457 on Vista. When the installer tried to launch BC at the end I got an alert from Setup stating "Unable to execute file: C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 3\UACLaunch.exe CreateProcess failed; code 14001. The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

In case it's relevant, this is 32-bit Vista on a 64-bit AMD Turion 64X2 processor.

The app runs fine from the desktop icon.
