after initiating auto-upgrade the new version was downloaded, but instead of automatically upgrading bc3 it just opened the archive in whatever silly archive viewer kde has config'ed by default...
now, i'm not sure i'd WANT you guys to just go ahead and smack whatever you want wherever you want around my system, bypassing package/update manager, etc., but... just opening it in archive viewer? is this by design?
are there plans to provide extensive set of distro-specific packages once bc3 is released? i'd personally settle for rhel4 rpms and debs for whatever latest ubuntu animal is... ;)
RHEL4u4-based thingie (kernel 2.6.9-42.7.ELsmp), KDE 3.3.1, BC3 3.0.0.446/449.
