First, I did look around the forum and read the FAQ/Internal help pages before asking...
I am comparing lines in two files which consist of hex character strings. Now and then, a single bit will differ causing a character difference. I am using the Lines/Characters mode, and the lines align with the corresponding character highlighted on each side.
My question: I would like to treat these lines as 'equal', or at least as "Unimportant" so I can filter them out from the 'real' differences. In this instance, it is a single bit (or single character) that would be acceptable. Note: I am using the Column setting to align the character positions during the comparison.
Is there such a granular option for setting the number of minor differences which are to be considered "okay"? If not, can this be easily added in the upcoming version? I looked at the regular expression page/settings, but don't think I can accomplish it that way.
