If you press Ctrl-F5, BC2 compares all files and directories windows left and right. If a directory does not exist on one side (eg on the right one), BC2 is still analyzing recursively the whole existing folder (the left one in this situation). It is a waste of time since the directory on the right side does not exist, it is no longer appropriate to continue the comparison test.
Tested with de BC2.52 english version.
