Do you have any plans to release a Vista - ready BC v2 build before v3?
Latest build works under vista but there are still issues with help, shell extension and other minor things.

We plan to support BC2 on Vista. We have a test system with Vista RTM in the office to test with.

BC 2.4.3 seems to install and run correctly on Windows Vista. Because of User Access Control, you might need to right click on the BC2 icon and select "Run As Administrator" for some things. Using "Run As Administrator" is required to turn the shell extension on and off after BC2 is installed.

If you run into any problems that aren't solved by using "Run As Administrator", please let us know.

Also, what problems are you having with help?

BC is using BC2.HLP when displaying help for dialogs (Option, Session manager).

A second (minor) problem is that some dialog buttons appear clipped.

Many times, dialog controls don't refresh at'all and I have to move mouse cursor over them, or close and reopen dialog to display them correctly. I've noticed that is happening whenever I switch windows (Alt-tab)

BTW I'm using the MSDN Vista Business Edition, clean installed without any third party apps or drivers.

Any thoughts about subclassing the new Copy File dialog in Vista,

to include an action "Compare" that will bring up a Beyond Compare File comparision of the two files?

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't heard anyone here talk about doing this yet, but it sounds like a useful addition. I'll add it to our wish list and we'll consider including it in a future release of BC.
