Daily Annoyance

I've reported this before, and I struggle with it almost daily.

I am comparing two files, and want to bring up another version of the file from a different folder subtree. When I try to edit the path in the filename combo box, the pop-up hint keeps interrupting my progress.

Please move the pop-up so that it does not obscure the combobox control, or disable the pop-up when the user is interacting with the combobox control.
