Archive to.

Hello, I did a search before posting but didn't find anything relative to this.

I was wondering if it's possible for one side to create an archive like zip or rar. How can I have my files on the left for example and then chose archive to instead of copy to and have an archive created on the right? Many thanks.

Beyond Compare doesn't support RAR, but it is possible to create a zip file.

In the folder viewer, enter a path with a zip file. If it doesn't exist, you'll get a "Folder Not Available" dialog and you can click "Create" to make the zip file.

You can also do this with the Actions|Copy To Folder command. Just specify a zip file path and BC will create it.
