Suggestion for a future release

Hi all,
I would like to see in a future release a memory compare.

Ex: I copy a piece of text to memory and compare with another piece of text. And a message box shows me if the two blocks are equal or different.

Just a suggestion,

Do you mean compare to clipboard? If you've copied text, you can open it for comparison in the File Viewer by selecting File|Open Clipboard.

How do I invoke the file-viewer after I have started BC from the Windows Start-Button with an empty folder-viewer?

Hello Christoph,

There isn't a menu command to switch from an empty Folder Viewer to the File Viewer.

If you're in the Folder Viewer, the only way to open the File Viewer is to launch a file comparison, either by double clicking a pair of files, using Actions|Compare To, or by using Actions|Open With.

Easily switching between the File and Folder Viewer, and the plug-ins is on our todo list for the future.
