what's the story about scooters?

I am just curious about my loved software -- why is it called scootersoftware? What is the story behind it?

The company had been named "Computations Unlimited" for a long time (decades). When I first released BC, I wanted to change it to a friendlier, simpler name. This was before the big scooter craze of the 90's. Since becoming "Scooter Software", we've managed to accumulate a variety of antique scooters that now decorate our offices.
