Will upgrade to version 3 be free if I buy now

I understand that Beyond Compare 3 is on the way.

If I buy Beyond Compare now, will I get a free upgrade to Version 3 or will there be an upgrade fee.

Most likely, yes.

We haven't finalized our version 3 upgrade policy yet, but there will be some kind of upgrade protection. If we release version 3 within 18 months of your purchase, 100% of that payment can be applied towards the version 3 license.
