Stream Mode

When connecting to an FTP server with the lastest release of BC, I always get the following:

Sent> MODE Z
Recv> 504 Please use S(tream) mode

I'm using the SmartFTP option with -R as the only list option. The FTP Server is PureFTPD. I've been unable to find any reference to this anywhere so I am curious as to whether I should be changing a setting either on the server or in BC. I haven't noticed it when using the Indy 9 option, but that one seems to choke a lot for me.

I just did a quick test with a small directory and I didn't get the error.

Does the error show up as soon as you login, or are you transferring files when it happens?

What version of PureFTPD is the server running?

It might also help me figure this out if you send me a copy of your BC settings. To export them, select Help|Support and click the Export button. Send them to support@scootersoftware.com

Also, if you can send a full log of a problematic connection that will help too. To turn on logging, select View|Log|Verbose. To write the log to a file, right click in the green log pane and select "Save to File".
