I know that you have a new FTP component, but it is unusable in its current state. I use BC to maintain a set of about 1000 browser-based html help files in a single folder. The FTP site is located in California, eight hours from here, and I use +8 on the FTP side in BC.

In BC231, after uploading all the changed files, the 'differences only' window becomes empty. However in BC24 all the changed files remain shown as (time) differences. Thus as I update more and more files, the number to be uploaded will continuously increase until eventually they would all show as differences.

I had to drop back to 2.3.1 and re-upload the same batch of files, at which point the window correctly emptied. Will I be on 2.3.1 for ever, or can this most unfortunate change be reversed?

You do know that you can switch 2.4 to use the old FTP library, in Options, FTP, Advanced, set it to use Indy.

Personally, it works fine for me, I think it depends on how the FTP server at the other end is set up...

Hi Tim,

As the anonymous user posted, you can switch to the FTP library we used in 2.3.1 in the Advanced FTP Options. When setting timestamps the new library does something with the timezone that the old library doesn't. We're working on this and a few other issues, and we'll have a 2.4.1 release out soon that will fix the problem.

Thanks for this advice, it has fixed my problem as well. Looking forward to the new release.
