SourceSafe Bug

Hello,

Firstly, it's great to see a new version of Beyond COmpare out. In particular the source control aspect is a really great new feature.

I'm just having one problem setting it up.

I added an entry for the root of my D drive pointing to the root of our SourceSafe database.

I then added a new entry for d:\inetpub\wwwroot\someproject and mapped "someproject" somewhere in the depths of our SourceSafe.

However, my new entry was added with no source control information and the mapping for d: had changed to the new location.

Clicking "Configure" always changes the "d:\" entry regardless of which one is selected.

Is there anything I can do to get round this?

Thanks for the bug report. I just checked and I was able to reproduce this.

As a workaround, in my testing it worked to specify the deeper folder first (d:\inetpub\wwwroot\someproject) and then specify the drive containing it second (d:\).

I'll add this to our bug list and we'll work to get it fixed.
