Hi,
I noticed that you integrated the VSS api into BC 2.4 beta. That is very good. But I thought that by doing that, one could compare a whole local directory to it's equivalent in VSS respository, but that seems to be impossible to do.
I mapeed the directory to my VSS folder under the "Tools/Options/Source COntrol Integration", but I seem to be unable to right click in a folder and do a "compare against VSS repository" or something like that.
Thanks for your reply.

The current source control integration doesn't have a way to diff an entire folder against version control yet. Further version control integration is on our todo list.
The features available in the current version control integration are detailed at: http://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php?c=SccReadme.txt

So I should have two folders.
Smth like VSS\MyProject and MyWork\MyProject.And then I can compare VSS and MyWork folders, upload source in diff directions (from vss to me and back) and all commands will be dublicated on vss server.
Am I correct?

If you want to compare the entire directory, right now you'll have to use two separate folders like VSS\MyProject and MyWork\MyProject.
Listing status - checked out by other user isn't implemented yet. Auto check in on save also isn't implemented yet. I'll add them both to our wish list for a future version of Beyond Compare.

and what about updating VSS folder on my disk?
should I do it myself with native VSS client after "check out"/"check in" by other developers, or just call "Get Last Version..." on base folder?

I think both methods should work to update the VSS folder.
