How to get Folder Viewer to show folder size?

What command(s) should I use to get Folder Viewer to display the size of (possibly deep) selected folders(s)? Refresh doesn't fill-in size for orphans (strange design decision?) or same-path folders on both sides (bug?). Thanks.

PS I can find no way to get this forum to by default email me replies to my posts. Is there one? Meawhile I'll use 'favourites'.

Folder Viewer doesn't scan the contents of orphan folders until you double click to expand them, so it doesn't know what size they are until they are expanded. This was done to speed up BC.

To get the size of orphan folders to display, use the View|Expand All, then View|Collapse All commands to force the Orphan folders contents to be scanned.

To get email notification of replies to your posts, select the "My Home" link, then click the edit link for "Subscribe / Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts by email, change message notifications, etc.".

On that page, set "Do you want all replies to your favorite threads emailed to you?" to Yes.

If that doesn't work, please let me know.

Even then it doesn't necessarily know e.g. when there are sub-folders.

Thanks, but that takes many minutes on the >100,000 file sets I'm working on.

If there's really no command to scan the selection, may I suggest one be added? Thanks.

That'll have false positives. Would you consider adding an option for email replies to the user's posts, as many other fora have? Thanks.

Yes, it doesn't determine the size until all of the subfolders within an orphaned folder are expanded. A command to expand all the contents of a subfolder is on our wish list. An option to always display size of orphan subfolders is also on our feature wish list.

This feature might be enhanced in newer versions of UBB.Threads (the forum software we use). We plan to update to a newer version of the forum software in the future, and the newer version might have the additional features.
