Hello,
I am trying to use beyond compare to sync two iTunes libraries. One on my Mac OS X Powerbook and one on my Windows XP Desktop. The problem I have is tracks with long names.
If a track is called "Part ONE Opening Theme And Introduction" and is in AAC format it will be stored as:
Mac file name
01 Part ONE Opening Theme And Introduction.m4a
PC file name
01 Part ONE Opening Theme And Introd.m4a
Is there any way of telling Beyond Compare to ignore part of a file name?
What I would like is a setting "Only consider the first # characters of a filename".
If set to 30 for example the part "01 Part ONE Opening Theme And " would be compared and then the content would be compared to see if the file really was the same.
Can any one think of any other way to accomplish this?
Ta,
Andrew
