Setting line length

I know this should be obvious, but how do I set the line length to 80 for comparison?

To change the line length in the File Viewer, select Tools|Edit Current Rules. The Maximum Line Length setting is located in the General tab.

What I described above will do a character wrap of lines at 80 characters, including line terminators.

If you just want to limit the comparison to the first 80 characters, select Tools|Edit Current Rules, go to the Importance tab, in the Unimportant Text section click New, select the Columns category and enter a column range to mark unimportant. Click OK until you're back to the main File Viewer window, then make sure View|Ignore Unimportant Differences is turned on.
