File Differences Report greyed out

using BC 2.3.1

I'm having a tough time understanding when I can get a file differences report. I do the following:
* select a folder
* compare the contents including subfolder
* Edit | Select newer | Both sides
but now the Actions ! File Differences Report is greyed out.

Can anybody give me a reliable bath to see the line counts for a folder tree?

The File Differences Report command will gray out if you have a folder selected. If you only have files selected it will be enabled.

Use the Edit|Select All Files command and the File Differences Report command should stay enabled.
